Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs potentially building new stadium in Kansas
Sassy Squatch 09:45 AM 03-29-2022

Chiefs prez Mark Donovan, when asked this AM about potential new stadium options, said the team has considered options in state of Kansas. They like Arrowhead and legacy of Lamar Hunt’s stadium, but have been pitched by Kansas developers on a bunch of options. Something to watch.

I think if they are smart. Build a better version of arrowhead where Kaufman is at. Still with the sound enhancing shape. But a moveable roof on it.

Build a topgolf and small entertainment district next to it. Roof can move and cover both of them depending on weather.

Considering that the announcement of the 2026 World Cup host cities is imminent, kind of a dick move for Donovan to act like Arrowhead ain't shit.

A big part of KC's bid was that the games would be played at an historic venue.

You should see what happened to the real estate market in Inglewood, CA after Sofi went up.
All of the houses near Arrowhead still suck.

I don't know if Soldier Field counts anymore after they raped it with the renovation.

1) Speedway opened in 2001, that's before 2002, in case you don't do math.

2)150k more residents in Joco? I bet Jackson has similar growth. But I also don't care enough to look it up.

3) Yeah, the successful soccer stadium is cool.
