Thanks!

Yeah, this is the No. 1 problem now as I see it. Especially in urban areas. When people can't get food the rioting and looting will start, and then everything will begin to break down. If this shit isn't reigned in quickly I fear that's exactly where we're headed. And all I see now is things continuing to get crazier.

I'm pretty far from Chicago, but my suburb is a major city in its own right.

Every single one of us is probably going to end up personally knowing someone who dies from this. Let that sink in for a minute..

Universities here are already going to online classes. Classes were cancelled for today, Spring break is next week, and then they're online once they "return."

Area public and private school teachers are already being asked to prepare two weeks worth of lessons in advance and to be prepared to be available via face time or email on students' chrome books.

If they temporarily close daycares, then I guess I'll have to resort to my retired mother taking care of the kiddo after my boyfriend leaves for work.

And then my boyfriend is a chef, and restaurants (even fine dining ones) are starting to feel the burn with some cancellations. Things might get a little bumpy for us if things get worse. If something happens, I would hope that companies would suspend payments, too.

So big question.

With all of this...has any country lost essential services?

Gas, electric, water, phone...

OH MY IT HAPPENED
People were the same way when I was in the store yesterday. A lot of them had the deer in the headlight/zombie look with total fear in their eyes. I was thinking, take a couple of deep breathes. I have a feeling tomorrow is going to be a big shopping day in the grocery stores everywhere. Folks are going to be in for a rude awakening when they see empty shelves.
