The Time's Our's podcast discussed this. Seems the Chiefs value a player that does well in practice, knows the scheme than someone who clearly out performs them in the actual game when it counts. They talked about looking at Gay's tape. Gay was almost always was where he was supposed to be and got there way faster than Neiman. Why Gay is not playing over Neiman was a head scratchier to all of them.

Gray has to be better than the rest of the dreck we have at TE2, right? Sigh, DRob at WR3, looking over his shoulder. All I know is I never want to see Remmers at LT ever again, so by elimination, Niang is the swing T.
