This was mentioned on 610 AM. They said he’s really been hurting in his ankle and Wylie was hurting in the Colts game too but powered through it.

Allegretti is a competent guard. If Smith is hurting, then let him heal. Allegretti can play well enough to give Smith a chance to get better.
Wylie can’t afford to be a step slow. He doesn’t exactly have athleticism or strength to spare. At 100%, he’s just okay. Rest him until he’s ready too. [Reply]

Smith has been very poor, I'd get him right. Pretty confident he turns out what we hoped. Brown is trickier. Agree with The Franchise he was better last year, albeit with some bad games. This year who knows, maybe he's faced more top end DEs in a small sample? Maybe he's stepped back.
Big issue with Brown is he's just going to have to face quick DEs and high end ones game after game, especially in the division. I never understood the excitement for a guy that was a run game specialist but last year I was largely pleasantly surprised. Now, I'm back to when we traded, and pretty glad we didn't pay him. He's not even a good run blocking LT this year. He is the biggest problem on the OL. Next is RT. Both are bad. I think Smith works it out when healthy. [Reply]
The O line better bring the A game against Tampa. Or AR needs to tell PM to stay the hell out of the pocket. And you can forget the running game. [Reply]
