Nzoner's Game Room>The Official 2022 FIFA World Cup Thread

YOUNG AMERICANS
The USMNT was by far the youngest team to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, garnering valuable experience going through the rigors of World Cup qualifying. Through 14 qualifiers, the USA Starting XI came in at an average of 23.82, almost two years younger than the next closest team, Ghana at 25.67. Together, the other 31 participating teams averaged a Starting XI age of 27.5 through qualifying, nearly four full years older than the U.S. Sources say this is one of the youngest, but most talented teams the U.S. has ever fielded. While they may not win the world cup this year, they may garner the experience needed to make a serious run on home soil in the year 2026 when the World Cup comes back to North America.

This is only the 2nd match I've watched, but Adams has looked like the best player on the field each time.

Iran won’t be able to defend deep anymore down a goal, second half likely to look different from the first.

Dumb substitution by Iran. Should have just gutted out to half. Used up one of their three substitute opportunities.

Fucking fans running on the field during this are dumb as can be. This is about one of the last places I'd want to go to jail.

They said he was offside, when he wasn't. It was a bad call IMO.

Well, a good half top to bottom. Still lacking that last pass, but Iran don’t have a shot and haven’t made much of a threat.

Offsides, most basically no part of you can be further upfield than the last defender measured at the moment the ball is passed.

Here's a primer

How does that rule read? His fucking knee can't be past? Seems like it should be feet.
