He stumbled awkwardly when trying to field a ball for a double play chance. He reached down to grab his right calf/ankle area before walking off gingerly.

This is exactly the shit I’m talking about with Matheny and Eldred.
Inexcusable that Minor wasn’t prepped with that information and shows Eldred’s laziness and ineffectiveness starkly. (And honestly Grifol’s too, Perez should know that when gameplan ing for the series).
Matheny’s pitcher management in the 7th was also garbage. I know Minor’s pitch count was down, but to let Minor go out and face the middle of the lineup a 3rd time was just stupid.
Letting him face a second batter after giving up the bomb to Casty was stupid.
Letting him not only walk that batter but then walk another before making a move to the pen was stupid.

Hard to say. Poor conditioning? He’s looked off/like he isn’t finishing for a bit now, but you still see flashes.
I think Rocker is likely if he’s there but could see them going with a bat, too. [Reply]

Brady House would be a nice pickup if Rocker isn't there. Witt at SS and House at 3rd would be a nice long term solution on the left side of the infield. [Reply]

House’s power is excellent. There are some questions about his hit tool but nothing that’s impossible to overcome.
I could see Khalil Watson at 7, too, if they go HS bat. Super athletic, could fit in CF pretty easily.
There are several teams rumored to be looking for “under slot haircuts” (pay less than slot value to save slot money for later picks) in the top 5/10, so it’s really hard to predict who’s there at 7. Could be that 3-4 of the top 8 players are there.
And there are basically 8 guys at the top of this draft without a clear 1-2 at the top, so it adds even more uncertainty. [Reply]
