Even people in banks such as tellers are being laid off because the banks are not opening the lobbies. While we will bounce back, the economic cost in the short term is going to be massive as we have already seen so far.

Psst: you might want to look into how he became Governor.

Hospital workers are being laid off or reduced hours because outpatient services are being cut back.I have only 3 scheduled patients today.

Exactly. So even essential businesses are not keeping full employment.

My business is in the “want” category. We are rip-roaring right now, but I’m not blind to the fact of what is going to happen in 3 or 4 months when people don’t have money to upgrade their house.

I am somewhat insulated since our local economy is Ag and Cattle based. I can’t imagine how a big city floor guy is going to handle this in an economy that’s based on blue sky and not tangible needs.

The secondary hit is going to be just as bad as this primary hit.

The best and most reasonable hope that we have is to hopefully find some kind of a treatment fast so we can start getting the economy going again. We are still months away at the very least for a vaccine and our economy cannot be shut down for much longer. Definitely not until a vaccine is ready. We have to hope we get a treatment that can be applied, even if it is a permanent treatment or you are going to start seeing some really bad shit.

It will take a decade to recover from the economic damage done at best.

And that's not even a likely outcome. The USA is on the way to being Venezuela. Just watch.

This is an example of the dangers of social media...

To tell anyone this is what encourages the "it can't happen to me" behaviors. Off people go, ignoring all the warnings, not washing, not a care they stand around the vegetables at Walmart and visit with friends with the whole family, the kids touching each other, a stop at the McD's drive up so everyone gets a cup of pop handled by three people who have done nothing to be safe.....

The fact is the more you expose yourself out of the controlled environment at your home the chances rise and your chance is every bit as real as the last person who tested positive.

This period of time will be studied by social scientists for years to come as we discuss and unwind the examples of social media moving dangerously false rumors, speculations and misstatements that led to higher risk behaviors.

People spread Corona. Don't be where people are.

Have you divested and what are your investments in such a case?

This is all about NY at the moment. Nothing is going to happen in the way of opening things up anywhere until they get their shit right up there. Di Blasio this morning saying that NYC will need an additional 65,000 beds by the end of this month.

So if people want some perspective on us vs. Italy here you go: Italy has almost half of the cases that we have with almost 3-times more deaths.
