If they are not looking at the fact that he was hobbled, had limited offensive weapons, and gutted out a hell of a win, then they are missing what everyone else can clearly see
They don't even have to look at those factors.
Better completion percentage, more yards, more TD's, and less INT's. It's so basic it's inexcusable at this point. [Reply]

But they pull out some bullshit like his receivers were more open, or that is a play he is expected to make, or that ball should have been intercepted, etc.
Burrows pass on want bad, it was just a good defensive play.
Our DL was better so Mahomes had more time, so Burrows did more the pressure
It’s all bullshit that ends up so convoluted, and everyone can tell it’s bullshit [Reply]
I know some people use it for positions like OL because it's really hard to assess those positions sometimes, but even when they claim a Chiefs player is really good, I ignore it.

It's because PFF uses subjective criteria for scoring. Football Outsiders and other services are FAR better than PFF because they don't employ a rating system that has 30-something virgins sitting in their mom's basement watching 5 different 24" TV's. [Reply]
That's hard to believe. I could at least see it if Burrow played out of his mind like Josh Allen last year. I don't know what the PFF scores were for that game but Mahomes and Allen truly went toe to toe. Burrow had 2 INTs and didn't have a legendary game. [Reply]

Burrow was damn lucky to not have 4 INT’s in that game. [Reply]

That’s the crux of it. They create this illusion that they are objective, and are clearly not. [Reply]
