She’s not only from Alaska, she’s from an Alaskan small town, which means it’s REALLY small. Not watching much of the Olympics but really cool to see her rep our state well. [Reply]
Not really sure how a team can botch a dive and still score 9s and 9.5s yet another team makes the smallest mistake and gets 7s. So confusing trying to follow the scoring on this. [Reply]

The fact that she’s from Seward where there are only 160 students at her high school and there is only one 50 meter pool in the whole state (Bartlett) makes it that more impressive. [Reply]

Diving is one of those sports where I watch and think "Wow, that was awesome!" and then the commentator comes on and says "woah he really shit the bed on that one. Yikes!" [Reply]
A Team USA coach said that Simone Biles' exit from the gymnastics team event "is not injury related." Coach said it is a "mental issue she is having," per NBC broadcast.
