This is literally exactly what I was saying, but just play dumb.
No one has said it's mostly for this year so...
Just that he needs to make an impact this year too and it's not just a future play. Like no shit the real dividends will pay off in 2023 and 2024 when he's had a half season of play and a full off season with the team. Doesn't mean he won't be counted on this year also. [Reply]

Dave Toub has paid a lot more dues than the arrogant know-it-alls around here. No doubt about it. [Reply]
Just looking at him his suddenness, stutter step, quickness and overall fluidity look so much like Tyreek it's crazy. Yes he will need to stay healthy and be moulded by Andy and Pat but boy this could be a huge get if the stars align for this kid. So I'm very happy with this move tbh. [Reply]

it's definitely a low risk/reward case. It could pay off well, we get someone who was taken in the first round last year for the next 3 years to fill a spot. Here's to hoping it works out. [Reply]

It's not so black and white.
It’s pretty black and white. He has a new coach who is doing a great job with the talent he has. A team that has a better record than the chiefs and a poor WR group where the kid could stand out if he tried. Despite that he apparently has given such little effort his new coach viewed him as a distraction worthy of a middling trade. That’s not a guy who loves football. [Reply]
1)adding Toney to the 2021 draft looks like a pretty stellar haul.
2)I am unconcerned with his attitude; if any staff and locker room can fix a problem child, it's this one.
3)with Toney, Moore, and yes-even with Justyn Ross, there's a lot of young talent waiting in the wings for '23. Ross and the injuries are a real concern, but they botched the initial surgery there's no reason to think he's a lost cause. [Reply]
It is absolutely positively cringe-inducing when middle age white dudes complain about players "loving the game".
Who cares how much he "loves the game" if he produces. Suburban Dad wants players to maximize every yard at the cost of everything else in their life. If you aren't Michael Jordan what's the point of even having God given talent??? [Reply]
Toney isn't a guy we're trading for to fill an immediate this year necessarily. This is a guy Reid thinks he can take under his wing and mentor, and if it works out his talent level is a steal for a 3rd rounder. If it doesn't, it was a calculated risk. [Reply]
