Krug hasn't been right since 8th grade.

:-) I stopped at this little gem.

Articulate huh?

And that's before you even stop to consider the other parts of her manifesto: universal healthcare, basic income programs, federal jobs guarantee, increasing union powers, and something called “mitigate deeply entrenched racial, regional and gender-based inequalities in income and wealth.”

Let's see them trot all of this out come 2020.

They can and they will win with such a platform.

This country is fucked.

You think there are that many who wouldn't see that for the insanity that it is?
That the logical conclusion to that would be living under totalitarianism?
I'd like to think there are still more rational people who value their independence.

Donald Trump is potentially announcing in a speech tomorrow night that he is declaring a national emergency for the purpose of pursuing an action that the elected legislature has thus far denied him, but vailpass is worried that the real fear of "totalitarianism" comes from...a higher marginal tax rate on absurdly rich people?

Can't even put my trademark laughing smilies here, there's nothing funny about that, it's just ****ing sad.

I have 3 sons in their upper teens. And I go for 30-something women when they present themselves.
Other than that, yeah, probably so.

I know maybe three people my age who are right of Hillary Clinton. Everyone else is various shades of socialist.

And I know a lot of people.

Both of our situations are anecdotal though I see what you are saying. At some point further down the road there might be enough Americans willing to surrender their rights and bring about the end of our great experiment but I don't thinks it's imminent just yet.

Proof we tend to seek out the company of those who have our same values. That was one of the real values of attending a huge university. One day I was in my circle of friends in small town central Illinois, and the next at the U of I, 36000 students and more people in my major than my home town.

Break out. Gain insight from others who are not the same as you.

Meh. Everyone else has accepted globalist neoliberal / crypto-socialist brainwashing. Can't challenge the brainwashing unless you want to be labeled a Nazi.
