KC_Connection is right. If the kicker doesn't choke..not one..not two..but 3 times we lose. Horrible play calling and super conservative for Leipold when Ive seen him be aggressive before.
Either way..hard to bitch when your defense balled out and you won despite some really weird refs [Reply]

You don’t get to boast about this victory based on your own logic, since you’re holding that standard with Billay and Nebraska.
ISU adjusted to our run game early in the 2nd half and Leipold just kept going to it anyway for reasons that are unclear (although I guess in his mind it was to run clock and preserve a lead). Daniels missed one deep shot but it is silly that they never even tried again for the rest of the game. It just won’t do against better teams. [Reply]

So what? KU spent a decade losing games like this. They finally win one and everyone wants to discredit them? Nah man 5-0 is 5-0. [Reply]
I’m not writing off the season yet, it’s obviously a down year after losing so much. Typically in down years historically we are lucky to win two games but we should still be bowl eligible. Dekkers might have the best arm we’ve ever had, and he has the ability to run but for some reason chooses not to. Should hopefully get better with experience.
Our ST’s, and OL are just so bad, every year. It’s time to hire a ST’s coach finally. It’s time to fire the OL coach.
It was really unfortunate our RB got hurt the first drive, and his backup who’s a true freshman didn’t make the trip, assuming still from week one injury even though it sounded like he was coming back this week.
Congratulations though, we need the Big12 to be good during these times of conference realignment and negotiating our new media contract. There’s a lot of good teams this year, hopefully one not Oklahoma or Texas is good enough for the playoffs. It’s just harder to make it happen playing round robin in the strongest conference top to bottom. [Reply]

Is your kicker always this bad or was this an aberration?

Your logic means you can’t be a fan since you didn’t go to KU.
I was born in Lawrence and both parents worked for the University of Kansas at some point. Ive veen a KU football fan my entire life, despite them being a bottom dweller. I do what i want [Reply]

Hope you at least enjoyed your visit.
I want to say he hasn’t missed a kick before this game, but they also haven’t trusted him much as his career long(early in true freshman year) is like 39 yards. He was rated out of HS as both a Kicker and Punter, but higher as a punter. He also played QB in HS.
He could be really interesting on the fake aspect if he develops at kicker, especially if he also becomes the punter which I assume is the end game … but man. What a terrible game. As of now I wouldn’t be opposed to a transfer at kicker. [Reply]
