Nzoner's Game Room>*****The Hunter Nourzad Thread*****
Dante84 01:09 PM 04-27-2024
More to come!

New Chiefs’ offensive lineman Hunter Nourzad started at right tackle (20 games), center (13 games), left guard (7 games) and right guard (1 games) over the course of his time at Cornell and Penn State.

Adds great versatility up front, particularly inside.

This dude had 582 snaps at RT, 535 at LG, 170 at LT and 801 snaps at center according to PFF. Yeah, the NFL loves this guy. Hunter Nourzad imo is a rock solid starter, but at the very worst he's a damn good swingman reserve.pic.twitter.com/Xizp03anWu

#Chiefs stole #PennState's Hunter Nourzad, a OC/OG, who can step in as a starter if need be, here in the 5th

Nourzad impressed at OG/OC over last 2 years (and OT at Cornell before that), and really impressed at OC all week at @ShrineBowl

GREAT Day 3 value.#ShrineBowlWhosNext https://t.co/kGDMuzQQjM pic.twitter.com/l43ldVfhQm

Lance Zerilein had this guy as a 4th rounder and he's pretty good with OL.

My first ‘oh no’.

Only because I saw center, and I know we have a choice to make between Creed and Trey.

I know nothing about him though. Maybe he can play guard :-)

Do not resign interior lineman!

Trey barely matters. Creed does not matter

ESPN Radio's Jordan Reid loves this pick. Nourzad played left tackle in the Ivy League and both guard and center at Penn State. Only allowed two sacks in his college career.

He played tackle at Cornell. Definitely the next Allegretti. Great versatility.

Nice. Wanted IOL here and this is one of two that seemed like a really good fit.

He’s a versatile guy. Nourzad has played Center, Guard, & Tackle in college.

Draft is pretty much done. Veach just nailed it this year.

You do realize that big contract we gave Thuney is a huge reason why we've been able to field a top 10 OL through our SBs in spite of instability at both tackle positions, right?

Yup. Just a perfect use of a 5th round pick. Nice little backfill for some depth we lost. May never be a starter but ol' Nick came up huge for us a couple times and that's worth its weight in gold.

Just another very good, very smart pick.

He's played multiple positions in the interior but C was his best. The Chiefs love to pull guards/C in the run schemes and that appears to be his greatest strength. He's definitely not a heavy footed plodder. Dude can pull and create wide open lanes on the edge.

Solid, we needed a swing interior linemen.
