The only way Tua makes sense is if the Chiefs wanted to develop him and trade him. And if the Chiefs were gonna try to flip him for a pick, it would make NO SENSE to trade a pick for him first.

This is an incredibly poorly thought out rumor.
If they can rehab him and flip him for a 1st than it's brilliant but what does Miami want for him? Andy has rehabbed worse QBs than Tua.
I'd give them a 7th for Tua but they probably won't take that. [Reply]

You're going to be hard pressed to flip him for more than what you paid a season or two later. And you're taking a huge gamble if he'll even pan out and be worth more.
I can't imagine the Dolphins letting him go for less than a 3rd or 4th. [Reply]

Probably. I think WFT might make a play for him. I was just saying that Andy has done more with less, and if there's anyone that can make Tua good it's him. [Reply]
Also, contract really isn't all that bad considering what backups get nowadays.
2021: prorated about 2 million
2022: about 3.5 million
2023: about 5 million
Again, don't think there's any realistic chance we actually trade for Tua but the idea isn't really all that ridiculous, unless the Dolphins are dumb in their demands for him. [Reply]

This team needs help on defense. Trading picks, regardless of round makes little sense for a backup QB. Backup QBs are easy to find and could be had for no picks. The only way the Chiefs could develop and flip Tua for a pick is if he saw the field. In order for that to happen Pat has to not see the field which is not what any here want. [Reply]
