Nzoner's Game Room>Mahomes is 15 TDs away from passing Aikman
petegz28 07:47 AM 07-02-2022

Crazy Stat: Patrick Mahomes could throw 15 touchdowns the rest of his career and still finish with more career touchdown passes than Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman.

Note: Mahomes has played in 102 less games. pic.twitter.com/YzE4B34Xh2

After looking at his stats, I'm not sure he could hold Eli Manning's jock.

Aikman fucking sucked. Mark Brunell was better.
brunell had a popgun for an arm in comparison

he couldn't have played in the same system

there were very few easy throws in the dallas system

eli manning would have been a below average qb if he had been drafted in 1989

Aikman was very good but he wasn’t great. Put Marino on those teams and they win more rings

Aikman is the epitome of a game manager QB.

However, he was generally good in the playoffs before his last four starts. But if he wasn't on loaded teams, he isn't even making the playoffs.

Why is this a thread? It's really not that impressive of a stat. Honestly the bar couldn't get much lower.

Nope. That system required a QB who could fit the ball into tight windows down the field.

It emphasized downfield passing over volume.

120 posts of Clay knob polishing the worst player in the Hall of Fame while people gawk and ask, “But why?”

Statistically, Brad was much better.

Aikman was a less mobile Alex Smith with a legendary team around him.

False. Alex didn't have his arm or accuracy or poise in the pocket.

Aikman would have won multiple Super Bowls with Alex's teams in SF and KC.

Shiiiiiid, Smith led the league in TD/INT ratio twice and dominates Aikman in every relevant passing statistic. Aikman couldn’t hold Smitty’s jock strap.

No major difference between Troy Aikman and Trent Green. Both did play in insanely talented offenses though
