Where do you see this because it is 10000% wrong.

Mortality rates can not be determined until you are recovered or dead.

Some figures regarding age distribution and severity of the symptoms in Italy:

21% of the infected people are hospitalized, 12% are in intensive care (intubated).
No one in the 0-18 age group ended up in intensive care, 10% are between 19 and 50 years old, 46% are between 51 and 70 years old and 44% are over 70 years old.

Could not find the total figures for today. They were 9.172 on sunday so I guess they must be approaching 15.000. Anyone interested can do some calculations.

Which we won't know until this thing is over, right? So, for right now, we have 121,564 cases and 4,373 have died from it.

It's killed 3.59% of those who have gotten it.

The biggest issue we are going to have with the vast spread of it in this country is simple...employers do not want people working remotely or taking days off. Tons of jobs can be done remotely these days yet they don't want you doing that because bosses have 0 trust in that.

The nature of work and employees is going to be a massive issue.

Not really....... I mean it kills old people sure. But not so much any other age group by a serious number. 80+ year olds should be worried, but honestly they should be worried about the flu to.

As I said previously the problem with this Virus it is not the mortality rate of patients who received proper care.
The problem happens when hospitals get overwhelmed, and intensive care can no longer be granted to the 12% who requires forced ventilation to survive.
That's why - instead of panicking - a responsible behavior of the population is the only way to keep this disease from spreading too quickly and becoming a real problem.

Yes, really. You don't get to ignore numbers because you don't like them. Or do you dispute the numbers?

Add in how self centered Americans are. The moron in St Louis is perfect example.

Also for some reason people have this idea that working from home is equal to a paid day off.

And? No one is disputing that the elderly are dying at a much higher rate than the young.

Look, if you want to dispute that as of right now, this thing has killed 3.59% of those have contracted it, go right ahead. You're wrong a lot.
