And like others have said, Marvel is proving my hypothesis correct with each passing movie. They know how to present a hero and villain. They don't waste time murking about in "shades of gray", and doing it in a piss-poor fashion like Rian Johnson.
Simple. No great math required here at all.
Hell, the original Star Wars story and characters were cookie cutter but they worked well. It was a tale of good and evil. Now they are trying this gray Jedi baloney. Keep Star Wars simple. The mythology is built upon that. It is not Shakespeare. [Reply]

You can't just tell the same story again.
That's why a lot of us loved TLJ. It took the OT and turned it on it's ear.
Now we are answering the question: what if Vader had overthrown the Emperor?
After IX I'm pretty sure we are going to be answering the question: what if Vader wasn't the bad guy? [Reply]

Fine. That is a salient point.
But the Last Jedi didn't give us a better story. All that movie had were lame twists for the sake of twists. It is a film that a pretentious film major would shoot. Oh look, I am defying convention. Too bad, it ruined the story and characters. All the villains are either dead or buffoons. Ren is a mess. Rey isn't much better. Finn's arc is on repeat. Poe is disgraced. Rose is a joke. The Resistance is down to one ship.
There is nothing there to get excited about. [Reply]
Jar Jar IS the main antagonist in the prequels. He is the foil to Yoda. A character that is made to look foolish only to be the most powerful SITH LORD in the galaxy.
He was just so annoying that Lucas wrote him out.
Jar Jar influences a lot of things by acting stupid, mind control on the queen, force jumps, etc. You just have to look for it. [Reply]

Spoilery stuff here:
Spoiler!
Sources believe the first trailer will be different than the one shown to the crew around Christmas of 2018. That trailer showed a bit more than you would think they want to share at this moment but didn’t delve into the plot at all. Everyone says it was so good and it was apparently scored using only Star Wars: Episode IX footage. So we might have a shot at seeing it at some point.
In terms of that new Trooper from IX, there are over 50 of them. However, they are not being called Sith Troopers by anyone from Pinewood. That language apparently was picked up or appropriated by others as a synonym for “bad guys.” Those troopers do only answer to Kylo and the Knights of Ren though.
The MacGuffin is controversial as an idea. However, sources say that’s not the case in execution. They have also said that the MacGuffin actually evolves as the story progresses. So we apparently won’t begin the film with everyone searching for something right off the bat. In theory that is an interesting way to start a Star Wars film with what we know about the movie so far.
Sources have been pretty tight lipped about Matt Smith but I have also heard that the rumors he’s a Knight of Ren are incorrect. Sources also do not believe they are female or all of them are female. However, that rumor, if rooted in truth may have sprang forth because some stunt performers for the Knights of Ren were women. They also say that the threat in the film is not The Knights of Ren. So the idea they come from The Beyond and are the threat was not a good guess.
There is still a threat from The Beyond, however. [Reply]

No news on when they’ll get the key, but they had the Aladdin trailer DCP for two weeks before it came out on Monday…therefore, Friday might be the day, but that’s pure speculation.

The prequels made me not ever want to watch Star Wars again. I tend to like all of the new ones. I simply didn't like anything about the prequels. [Reply]
