The #Cardinals also requested an interview with #Bengals OC Brian Callahan for their head coaching job, per source. Callahan also is a candidate for the #Colts job.
Then you gotta pay Burrow and decide who to keep between Chase and Higgins, not to mention all the other talent on the team that's gonna want some $$$.

Unless Lou gets promoted to a HC job, the Bengals will challenge us in the AFCCG one more year.
After that: Burrow's cap comes due, Chase's cap comes due, and the talent on that offense gets squeezed out unless they draft really, really well.
And if they lose Anarumo this year? Yikes. [Reply]
They have an all pro CB coming back off IR, a pro-bowl guard didn't play in the game, 2 other starters were injured on the Oline, and will have the franchise tag to use on Higgins because they already drafted Jessie Bates replacement who they drafted in the 1st round last year. If the Cardinals were going to hire a defensive coach they wouldn't have done the interviews they've done.
Basically, don't look for the Bengals to do anything but put a better team on the field than you saw last night. [Reply]

You really think they’ll franchise tee when theyre gonna pay burrow/chase $80-90m? They won’t have the luxury of giving a guy a one year gigantic cap hit.
Next year will be dropoff. Will be very hard to re-sign bates, bell, flowers and Pratt, and maybe Hayden hurst. The year after is going to REALLY hurt. You’ve got Higgins, Boyd, Hendrickson, reader. [Reply]
The Burrow that’s been in the postseason the last two years is not good enough to win a Super Bowl without great defense, two number 1 receivers, and fortunate bounces. They are due for a drop off. [Reply]
If they win a Super Bowl they could have prepared for the next step. They could have unloaded players like tee Higgins and maybe reader or Hendrickson knowing they could get really good picks for guys they can’t keep past next year. I can’t see that happening. They have no choice but be Super Bowl or bust next year because the peak of their window closes probably last year. Unless they start buying these guys on credit which mike brown probably won’t. They're gonna lose Higgins. There's just no way they can keep him along with the other guys. Bengals get 1 more year with all of those guys. If they can't do it next year, their team looks way different. [Reply]
