So right now the wind chill is forecast to be -15°. At a -19° wind chill frost bite can occur on exposed flesh in about 30 minutes. Lets say the forecasts are wrong and its actually colder than what they are saying, which is entirely possible if snow is on the ground, and we get a wind chill of -19 or below. In this scenario how many drunk idiots are going to lose their fingers because they lose a glove? I just hope it isn't any of you guys! [Reply]

These things work like a champ for keeping your hands warm. I used them all the time when I was sitting in a pre-dawn goose blind when It was -20 or colder. They also make them for inside your boots. I know Walmart sells them, as well as a lot of sporting goods stores. As far as feet, you can't go wrong with artic Mucks, they work great even in the coldest weather
Stay warm, yell loud!
Anything cheaper than those mucks that you can recommend? Or gloves/mittens [Reply]

All the models have the highs in the 20’s now (although that’s the day).
My personal issue is not the temp but the physical storm sitting directly between me and KC. Especially if I went the cheaper route and flew in to a neighboring city, even as far as Chicago, and drove the rest. Quite the headache. KC ticket prices crazy high. [Reply]

Yup, the forecast keeps being revised upward temp-wise. The NWS now is calling for a LOW of 19 degrees. All this angst about Sunday's weather is much ado about nothing. [Reply]
