Texas Tech's Tyler Owens, who's a favorite to post the fastest 40 at this year's NFL combine, doesn't "believe in space," as in "other planets," and feels flat-earth theories have some "valid points." pic.twitter.com/jE2jv9vyLv
In all seriousness: It's a satirical conspiracy theory where the joke is that you act like you believe it 100% to essentially troll those around you with a completely asinine take. [Reply]

The folks that really nail a good Birds Aren't Real reference crack me the hell up.
Tip Reiman, you have made my draft board sir. [Reply]

I was gonna leave it without the actual breakdown of 'Birds Aren't Real' satire, but there are some really moronic dumbasses on here, so I figured I should clarify just to be sure unfortunately. [Reply]

it's funny to me how it just sneaked into the collective zeitgeist somehow.
I mean I've seen baseball games where a bird gets hit with a grounder or something and the broadcaster will just quip "well the taxpayers are gonna have to buck up for a new drone..." without so much as breaking stride. No further context to it, just a quick hitter and they move forward as though nothing happened.
You have to be completely earnest or its not funny. Sounds like Reiman gets it... [Reply]

Have you ever tried to explain satirical conspiracy theories to someone who just doesn’t get the joke?
Darius Robinson is a DT prospect in the 2024 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.64 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 60 out of 1620 DT from 1987 to 2024.

I like to engage in that sort of humor at times myself [Reply]
