Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs potentially building new stadium in Kansas
Sassy Squatch 09:45 AM 03-29-2022

Chiefs prez Mark Donovan, when asked this AM about potential new stadium options, said the team has considered options in state of Kansas. They like Arrowhead and legacy of Lamar Hunt’s stadium, but have been pitched by Kansas developers on a bunch of options. Something to watch.

I've had good friends get hurt pretty bad working at the State Hospital and it pisses me off every time.
Ok, I am actually going to bed now. Don't let random people piss you off on the internet and stay safe. All the best.

I think it's just the Chiefs letting Missouri know that they better be willing to pay to keep the team.

I have an idea. Now I know it's pretty much unrealistic however they do have floating casinos. HOW BOUT A FLOATING STADIUM on the Missouri River?

How the fuck cool would that be? Float a few miles down stream for a half then back up the second half. Could cause some field goal issues but a floating stadium would be bad ass and it could be done with ingenuity. It would be the most unique stadium in the world. They build cruise ships bigger than stadiums.

That would be very cool but there is no cruise ship longer than about 1200 feet and definitely not one that could allow 60k people on board without plunging to the depths.

If the Chiefs want a new stadium, then they should base the design off of Arrowhead as it is too iconic to just put in the rear view.

That was just a posturing comment by Donovan and they will never leave Missouri.

So iconic Arrowhead's clone was demolished with very little infamy a decade ago.

"We're going home,Toto!" As I click my red cheats together three times. Missouri it was fun, but the Wizard, (Patrick) belongs in Kansas with all his family and friends.

A new Titans stadium is going to cost $2 billion. Guessing a new Chiefs stadium would be in that ballpark.

The new Titans stadium would be domed, it would open in 2026, and it would cost up to $2.2 billion. https://t.co/SuUuuWRC4g

Super Bowl, College Football National Championship, SEC Championship, CMA Music Awards, Final Four. Nashville is set up perfect for all of those events.

Nashville is fortunate in that they really only have Memphis to 'compete' with. Kansas City, because we're in Missouri, has St. Louis to deal with in terms of competing for "love" within the state (from the state government perspective) while also suffering being a border city where Kansas puts the vast majority of their hope, faith and cash into Johnson county (and now the Dot too). So Jefferson City seems to most about St. Louis, while Topeka seems care about JOCO/WYCO most. IMO that tends to limit KCMO's/JACO's prosperity chances, and things like $2.2B domed stadiums, quite a bit.

We'll see...

And Springfield and the Ozarks is all Chiefs but the baseball fans are 80% or Greater Cardinals fans. Been that way for generations.

That Titan's stadium is ridiculous. It has now become a stadium pissing contest in the NFL. Their current stadium is only 23 years old, but they're going to tear it down and put the taxpayers on the hook for nearly $1.5 billion. Great deal for ownership I must say.
