It's not FAR off, but in comparison, Grubi ended up with a .900 average in our series against Vegas and looked god awful in the last two games. I'm just not sure I trust him to be THE GUY yet.

That said, I have a feeling we're gonna miss him.

I think it's going to take time for the Avs to find a capable replacement. No one who they'll bring in will be more than a tandem goalie currently who has performed well(Kuemper). I think losing him hurts more now than losing Landeskog would.

Flip-side is they have enough cap to bring Saad back.

I am disappoint.

Hearing the Coyotes are trading Darcy Kuemper to Colorado for a first-rounder pick and defenseman Conor Timmins.

Hmm....

I thought Timmins did some good things in the playoffs, but completely see why he's expendable.

Wonder what else Sakic is thinking in terms of goalie.

Saad to the Blues. :-)

5 years, $4.5 per.

Starting to feel like the salary cap issues from COVID aren't going to be kind to us. Kind of hard to keep the gang together when there's not any extra money to go around.

He'll be solid for the Blues, though. I wish we could have locked him up.

Much needed Top 6 LW.

If they actually get something of value when trading Tarasenko, and/or can resign Bozak - I think they'll be OK.

So far Buchnevich > Hoffman and Saad > Schwartz.

Another good move.

Avs re-sign F Tyson Jost to a two-year, $4mil contract with an AAV of $2mil

Evander Kane’s pregnant wife says NHL star tanked games for gambling profit

“How does the NHL let a compulsive gambling addict still play when he’s obviously throwing games to win money?” she wrote. “Hmm maybe someone needs to address this.”

In another, the wife of the forward wrote, “Can someone ask (Commissioner) Gary Bettman how they let a player gamble on his own games? Bet and win with bookies on his own games?”

This sucks, love the location across from the Cardinals' stadium and within a nice entertainment district. Tempe might be cool though.

The city said its decision was due to “increased focus on larger, more impactful events and uses of the city-owner arena.”

The Coyotes confirmed in July that they were in discussions with the city of Tempe on a development space where the franchise could put a new arena.

Tempe also confirmed the request for proposals (RFP) on a spot in the East Valley.

Based on the site’s location, the Coyotes are highly interested in this development opportunity and will be responding to the City of Tempe’s request for proposal. Given our determination to remain in the Valley for many years to come, we are actively working to identify the best long-term home for the Coyotes, our devoted fans and this great community.

Lightning don't seem thrilled to be back at work, from what I've watched so far.

Interested to see how well ESPN+ works (even though the Avalanche are on TNT tomorrow night)... haven't used it since they started charging for it, and it sucked pretty bad back then (MNF looked far better last night though).

Leafs/Canadiens already far better than last night's hockey.

And why the hell would the NHL schedule Rangers/Caps for their first game on TNT? I mean, sure, ratings and all.... I'm sure nothing will go wrong. :-)

I really hate that they always open up with 8pm games for the Avs.

Now get off my lawn.
