On Tuesday, the Cape Cod Times reported that Linda Zuern, a former member of the Bourne, Massachusetts Board of Selectmen and a Trump-supporting figure in the local Republican Party, had died of COVID-19.
Zuern died at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston of severe complications caused by COVID-19, according to the report. She was 70 years old and had not been vaccinated.
"She was a strong woman who believed in speaking the truth and defending our freedoms in America," Republican State Committeewoman Deborah Dugan told the Cape Cod Times. Dugan was at Zuern's bedside when she died. "I would describe her to people as a little woman but a mighty warrior."
For months, Zuern, a member of the pro-Trump group the United Cape Patriots, had promoted conspiracy theories about the pandemic on Facebook. She has shared articles accusing the World Health Organization of a coverup of the "Wuhan Virus" and claiming COVID-19 is cover for "globalists" to usher in "U.N. Agenda 2030" — a sustainable development initiative right-wing conspiracy theorists assert is a plot to create a one world government.
Zuern also expressed support for the QAnon conspiracy theory, posting their creed of "WWG1WGA" (Where We Go One, We Go All).
Zuern promoted the use of hydroxychloroquine as a treatment of COVID-19 during a Barnstable County Assembly of Delegates meeting in December and questioned whether officials "had looked into preventative measures that people could use besides a vaccine to help build up their immune system," the Cape Cod Times reported.
Peter Meier, chair of the Board of Selectmen, said Zuern cared deeply about others. "She definitely left her mark on the community," he added.
According to the report, Zuern and her mother contracted COVID-19 while returning home from a trip to South Dakota — a state where Republican-motivated policies have let the virus propagate with little control.
I checked the sourcing and this email is correct: barring data lags or some other anomalies, over 60% of deaths in Clark County, NV, (Las Vegas) are now in vaccinated people.

This guy didn’t die, but he was a healthy 42 year old martial arts instructor who didn’t get vaccinated and spent weeks in July/August on a vent. He got all 7 of his kids sick (everyone in the house except his wife, who was vaccinated) and he got a neat trach scar as a souvenir. The article says it even whistles.

it's kind of a sad meme. It shows that they are once again, wishing to mock people who would prefer a cure over a vaccine. If there is something to ivermectin, it should be researched IMO. But it won't be. All of the success stories could be bullshit, that's possible. But it also could be true. People are taking the wrong doses from shit their buying from the local coop and that's dumb. But it shows how little the government is trusted right now if people are doing that. It would be good to have some research on this though among other things but I suspect that they would intentionally give lethal doses to say "ha, see it's not good"

One thing I haven’t seen that I would like to see is how many vaccinated people are dying and trends of that over time. We know that 95%+ of covid patients in ICUs are unvaccinated, but I would like to see death numbers nationally broken down by day or week and by vaccination status. It would be a useful data point demonstrating how different the outcomes are between the two, and would draw clear lines around the obfuscation about vaccinated people having mild cases or moderate cases that involve non-intensive hospital stays.
One of the problems with the vaccination campaign is that the governments messaging has been unclear and hasn’t really presented facts like these. Instead of just repeating that they are effective, show it. The data is there, present it instead of demonizing or refusing to have the discussion.
