So there's an article on NFL network saying that Orlando Brown is expected to sign for 6 years $145 mil.
That comes to $24.16 mil/yr and makes him the highest paid offensive lineman in football. It also would give him the 19th highest salary per year in the NFL
How would you feel if that is the contract he ended up signing?
I'm fine with it. He is a top 5 LT and he's only 26 next season. A young great LT is a guy you can't let leave. [Reply]

He's also been blitzed alot and just played the best set of pass rushers in the NFL.
You guys realize the other guys get paid too right?
Well, yeah, but when the putz at LT is demanding to be the highest paid OL in the league there are expectations that he performs at least above replacement level, which hasn't happened these first couple games. [Reply]
Willie Roaf is on ESPN radio right now. Said the tackles played well last night. Said Bosa is a stud and they handled him well. CP morons proven wrong once again [Reply]

Uhh, he's been taking a lot of hard hits for years (most QB's do - including Herbert last night), and last night he was facing the best DE combo in the NFL (maybe the Best D in the NFL). If we could find a way to run the gdamn ball, it'd certainly make it less obvious what we have to do in order to get 1st downs.
Look, I wish we had 2 All Pro's at both Tackle spots, but we don't. OB is more than serviceable at LT. Do I want to overpay for OB? No, but we could very well find ourselves in that spot if we don't have better options. [Reply]

Cameron Erving isn't above replacement level, dude. Orlando Brown as much as you hate his guts isn't Cameron Erving-level bad.
Allowing some pressures against those edge rushers last night isn't good, but it should be understandable provided he doesn't look like that against slapdicks. [Reply]

That's the problem that folks keep glossing over. He DID look that bad against slapdicks in Arizona. 7 pressures given up that game against a team with a dearth of talent. [Reply]
