I make my final bach. weekend dinner by brushing EVOO on oatmeal bread and grilling it as toast. I then took the Black bean soap/ stew I made and spooned some on the toast followed by diced smoked pork loin. I cooked them indirectly on the grill and they were frignn awesome!

Next week back to crap food as the SO returns....

HHow so? Cut it in half, micro wave it for a bit and then throw it in the oven with heavy whipping cream, butter, and cheese.

I mean my wife makes it and i kinda watch though.

You don't need the micro. I smoke it and sometimes it in the oven. Toaster oven works too. I

I have trick ( don't try this at home) I inject it with seasoned stock and let sit overnight, rolling often. I then poke holes in it, just breaking the skin (think potatoes) and then smoke it for about 2-3 hours. My kids love it. One day I will tell my son in law the secret. ( don't tell anyone)

Next time, let your wife tell you how to make it, you will appreciate her that much more. :-)

It was pretty tasty.

Wasn't my best effort though. I think 30secs-1min more each side would have been perfect for me.

On lump charcoal as close as can be without touching at about 550.

Ok kids, its Bs &Gs class.

Start with some good buttermilk bisquits. These are store bought, but they aren't the star of the show anyhow.

Brown some good country pork sausage. Really brown it well. Do not drain away the grease.
Add in some flour, stir, and then add in some milk. Stir stir stir. Add more milk as needed to get the consistancy you want. Add salt to taste and lots of pepper.

Split two bisquits in half, and dump some of that gravy on top. Add more pepper if you like. I do. I generally hit it with a few splashes of Louisiana hot sauce, but didn't this time. It was damned good. Key is lots of sausage.

That gravy looks awesome! :-)

Only thing wrong here is those canned biscuits. You can get some really great frozen biscuits!

Thank you. I didn't know they had good frozen biscuits. Hmmm. I'll try some. Like I said, the star of the show is the gravy for sure. It was a gut bomb, but took care of breakfast and lunch.
