Get Anthony Hitchens out of here. Nick Bolton was fucking awesome as the MIKE today.
Dude had 15 tackles and 4, yes FOUR tackles for loss. He now has 9 for the year which is more than any non-pass rushing LB in the league.
Myles Garrett lead the league in TFL with 9 previously.
This game sucked but I think we’ve got a very good MIKE backer moving forward. He’s miles better than Hitchens and it’s not even close

What's as impressive as the wrap-up tackling is how quickly he was able to diagnose and react to these plays.
We haven't had a LB who was able to shoot a gap consistently since DJ.

The defense as a whole actually did a decent job in stuffing the run yesterday outside of a few plays, which is understandable going up against Derrick Henry.
The problem is, this defense just can't stop both the run and pass effectively. We sold out to stop the run and made a scrub like Tannehill look like Dan Marino. If we had some sort of pass rush we could be a decent unit, but we simply don't have the dogs up front to make that work.

But Bolton should have gotten the game ball (do they give out a game ball after a loss?).
