Yea I suppose being in Florida does give me a different perspective there, but that’s also where Brady was too.
Again, huge props to Brady for what he’s accomplished though, just trying to provide context.
It’s pretty amazing that we got to see Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, and Brady. Now we get to watch Mahomes career play out too. We’re absolutely blessed as sports fans. NBA players were subjected to a ****ed up season in 2020, played in the Bubble, barely had any time off to heal, only to return to another full season shortly after last season ended.
Injuries are going to happen with that kind of schedule. The human body can only take so much trauma without breaking down, which is why we've seen so many injuries this season.
I'm sure that most of these guys are hoping the Olympics are cancelled because I just don't see how they can compete in Japan, then turn around and begin another NBA season without any significant time off to allow their bodies to heal and rest.
Oh please. Davis has a history of injuries. He's made of glass. I'm sure the last season contributed but you can't blame his health issues on the pandemic.
Modern NBA players miss too many games compared to their predecessors. The 3 point shot and the weak mental attitude that comes with "load management" has pussified these players. Guys used to play through more pain and miss fewer games despite playing in a more physical league with more contact in the post. Davis is a perfect definition of finnesse and softness. Winning a Super Bowl on a new team that was a loser the year before and navigating through a pandemic and then going on the road to beat 2 HOF QB’s then beat a future HOF QB in the SB.
