You guys are thinking about his brother Mike Stoops who was fired as HC at Arizona. :-)

He left Arizona 2 years before his brother was fired to be Jimbo’s DC at FSU.

That is correct.

And unlike Mike, Mark is actually a good defensive (and head) coach. And phenomenal recruiter.

OU has reached out to Kingsbury per Scheff

Ain't no way. That's gotta be Kingsbury's agent floating that one out there. I would not pick Arizona to win it all, but they're still a legit Super Bowl contender. It would take an unbelievable amount of money to walk away from a Super Bowl contender with a loaded offense to enter the SEC West bloodbath.

I would think Riley could get a NFL HC job fairly easily. Maybe he doesn't like competition.

It will be interesting to see how long the contract is and the buyout terms because I could see him coaching the Rams in 3-4 years.

Well he literally said he doesn’t like that Oklahoma is joining the SEC, so it’s safe to assume he doesn’t like competition.

He wasn’t even a good college coach. He got an NFL gig because Reid installed elements of his offense to help transition Mahomes to the NFL.

OU should be patient... Urban "Hands In Her Ass" Meyer is going to likely be available.

I bet Lincoln was scared to play Missouri, Vanderbilt, and the other bottom feeders in the SEC. Ya know, those teams that haven't won anything... EVER! Scary... SCARY!

That would appear to be the case. Checks out.

Right, he gets what, 5 easy games instead of 2 or 3 in conference? That's a giant deal.
