I'm not sure why people are calling this a desperation move I've read a lot of posts stating we need a number 2 receiver. Veach tried to sign several receivers in the off season to be number 2. As so many have put it this is a low cost high reward signing. [Reply]
If Brady can do this with Antonio Brown, so can Mahomes/KC with Gordon. You gotta give Veach credit for at least trying to fix various problems with the roster. [Reply]

That's a little different. Gordon is an addict, AB is just an asshole. Plus, Brady actually tried to help Gordon stay clean when he was with the Patriots and failed so Gordon is clearly a tougher case than AB.
Mahomes provides leadership for our guys but he isn't a drug counselor. End of day Chiefs will do best they can with Gordon but he's going to have to really want this and work hard in his off time to stay clean to make it work.
