Baz Luhrmann might just have something to say that would make this more interesting than yet another version of the same biopic about Elvis. I thought he did pretty well creating The Get Down on Netflix and the best episodes were directed by him. All of his movies have a thread running through them about heroes and hero worship. Plenty of good material in the Elvis story for that. [Reply]

He sure comes off as a creep in the trailer. I don't know much about Elvis - I was a kid when he died and I was never much of a fan (although I like his music much better now). But I don't ever recall hearing anything good being said about the colonel. [Reply]

Isn’t he the one who came up with selling I Hate Elvis pins so he could make money off of fans and haters too? [Reply]

I remember trying to figure out why I should be all worked up when Elvis died.
