This baseball promotion night backfired big time. Almost as bad as $.25 beer night they had in Cleveland once...

Mike Veeck (Bills son) is here running the St. Paul Saints. He is not afraid to try weird things. The Saints mascot is a live pig. Star Wars night.

He openly talks about that night. Did not expect it to be that bad.

I remember Disco record destruction parties and the like. Being a rocker, I was fully in support of these activities to kill disco!!!!

I spent a shitload of time in discos in New York City and Jersey during late 70s early 80s and it was a pretty wild scene.

I remember the Disco demolition night turning into pandemonium and the fire and fans were both out of control.

Another funny idea on paper that was not too good in practice.

Disco was the 70's-early 80's version of 2000's pop. No talent, style nor substance, just mindless throwaway shit.

I'm not sure it was ever really about the disco music. I mean, how could it have been?

40 years later, this looks really stupid.

In Vegas, in a cab with a couple of friends heading to The Golden Nugget.

Staying Alive was blaring out of the cab's speakers and we were all having a great time.

A really fond memory of mine. The music made it.

Just because you're old doesn't mean your younger years didn't have its share of shitty music. Disco = Backstreet Boys/Nsync/Brittany Spears etc. Mindless, no talent trash.
