If you were looking for a statement from the NFL saying "this is over, this is done, this shall never be brought up again and Tyreek Hill is in the clear forevermore" well I think you were being a touch myopic.

This was always as good as it was ever going to get.

But think about this practically for a second. If the NFL had ANYTHING on him, don't you think he gets 2 games? This suggests they probably didn't. And if they didn't, then all that language in the final paragraphs is window dressing designed to keep the inflamed masses (read: Patriots Fans) from flipping shit.

This is a pretty outstanding outcome and the best anybody could've possibly hoped for.

My understanding is it is will most likely be several weeks if not months before contract talks between Tyreek Hill and the Chiefs start back up. He’s in the final year of his rookie contact and this new contract will mostly have some very specific language within it.
