Nzoner's Game Room>Schefter: Eric Bieniemy will emerge as a candidate for USC job
KC Hawks 02:38 PM 09-14-2021

League sources believe Chiefs' OC Eric Bieniemy will emerge as a head-coaching candidate for USC. Bieniemy is from Southern California and has told confidantes in the past, that USC is one of the only college jobs that might interest him.

Did you know that Petrino is coaching at MSU in fucking Springfield now?

The bold move did not pay off, Cotton.

Helton went 46-25 and won a rose bowl game was fired after week 2. USC has fired alot of good coaches.

Not sure how he'll do as an nfl coach. But think he'd be terrific in college. He'll be great with recruiting and his hardass style might be well suited for college.

BUT Pete Carroll had a pretty good run at USC.

Pete Carroll was head coach at USC from 2001 - 2009. (7 PAC 10 titles and 2 national championships. 97 - 19 record)

He was the head coach for the NY Jets for a year.
Yeah, the free money for kids situation in CFB is much different in the NCAA than when it was in Carroll's time.

In CFB much more than the NFL it is much much more about the Jimmies and Joes than it is the coaching.

These days he's not going to get a ton of help from the program, so it's going to be mostly reliant on the staff he can compile.

Moreover, at 52, he's not going to get a ton of chances, I wouldn't be looking to just take any old job *cough*Jets*cough*.

But I'm not in that position, so I'm probably wrong.

Interesting the AD fired him when he was on the staff at CU. Dont think he gets the job with his past.

Just read an article on CBS sports about the possible hires. It listed seven possibilities. Bieniemy wasn't mentioned.

I would be surprised if he went to coach at the college level unless they toss out a crazy number.
