Dante84 01:00 PM 04-23-2021
developing.

The #Ravens are trading LT Orlando Brown to the #Chiefs, per me and @MikeGarafolo. A new blindside protector for Patrick Mahomes.

Kansas City is trading its first-round pick Thursday night, along with three other picks in the 2021 and 2022 drafts, to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for Pro Bowl OT Orlando Brown and one pick in the 2021 draft and another in 2022, per sources.

Orland Brown, 2021 2nd and a 2022 6th rounder
Ravens get: 2021 1st, 3rd, 4th and 20221 5th

Geoff Schwartz made a good point that the monstrous SB window that having Hill and Kelce together provides makes moves like this even better.

You never know when one of or both of those guys take a step back. But now the offense is set up to just be even better than ever in 2021. No risk on a 22-year old rookie at LT.

Yep. Clyde is WAY better than he showed last year. It was an obvious struggle for the line to get Clyde to the second level where his moves are best utilized.

Without a rookie at LT or anywhere on the OL, it will be much easier to start him.

Brown has been facing Myles Garrett and TJ Watt twice a year his whole career and made the last two pro bowls.

I’ll be honest, didn’t even know he had made pro bowls. Certainly not two.

Brown upgrades two positions by keeping Niang at RT.

I think so too. Bet on it!

But I don't think there's any way a healthy Long doesn't beat out LDT.

Great point.

Maximizing our window with those guys is an obvious choice.

Well, Long hasn't been playing either, so...

But yeah, at least there's some competition for that spot.

Also, if the plan in Baltimore is Villanueva at RT, that’s..... bleh.

He’s not even a decent run blocker to my knowledge. Which is what he’s going to need to be really good at.
