The Franchise 10:55 AM 03-13-2022
Legal tampering period begins tomorrow, March 14th. Throw all of your rumors and moves in here.

Obviously, for the people who hate mega threads, feel free to create a new thread for larger moves and anything Chiefs.

DANIEL SORENSEN IS NO LONGER ON THIS TEAM!

Can't wait for Frank Clark to lose against third string OTs repeatedly next season while he makes almost $20 million.

Just cut your fucking losses and move on.

Theres no hurry on Clark since he will be a 6/1 cut. May as well see what happens in FA and draft first. Then decide.

You guys know we’re keeping Clark bc of Spags right?

And fuck a restructure. Make his worthless ass take a pay cut.

If he's back (and that's still a decent sized IF) it won't be at $20M in 2022. You can bet on that one.

Giving him the OPTION of taking a paycut demonstrates they don’t recognize the rot on this roster. That they didn’t learn shit from Watkins.

It’s a REALLY bad omen even if he’s willing to come back for a veterans minimum salary.

He needs to go. He’s part of the problem.

Have you played with what the math looks like if you do max restructures year after year, and then just do a new deal at age 32? You end up with a big bonus proration in that age 32 season (that starts to drop thereafter), but it's workable for sure, and I think that's the plan for him.
Right. His deal will be extended before the bill ever really becomes 'due'

The price will be paid after he's retired lol

Yeah, last year we should have cut Hitchens and used his $$$ on vet pass rush but...loyalty to a guy who wasn't good.

If you do a full restructure....it only brings his cap hit down to $17 million according to OTC.

You guys need to calm down.

Think about Frank Clark and his personality.

The Chiefs have ALL the leverage here. Do you really think he's going to cave and take a massive pay cut?

If he comes back, it's going to be at a significantly reduced price tag. And that's IF he comes back. Read the tweets - they have to agree and so far, they're not close.

Well nothing is done yet. The league season doesn't even start for another 48 hours.

People need to just chill and relax a bit.

Then I doubt he's back. Veach and co. may be loyal but they're not stupid.
