Nzoner's Game Room>Allergies
TLO 01:56 PM 08-14-2012
I knew I had some serious issues with allergies, but typically they are worse in the spring. But the last few days have been absolutely miserable. Anybody else fighting with their allergies right now? Any suggestions on relief?

Mine have been kicking off this weekend, they usually wait until September. Not this year dammit.

Boom. This.

A single ragweed plant can produce a billion grains of pollen....that's why allergic humans have no chance.

A climate expert at the Univ of Oklahoma told me that there is a correlation between increase in CO2 pollution and ragweed pollen output.

He's probably dumb. I would almost gurantee that any increase in pollen count for ragweed would be due to higher populations of ragweed resulting from ineffective control methods.

I took shots for $ years and thy were pretty ineffective. I'm sure they helped some things but my allergies are still shit. Most of mine that are bad are mold species that they never got a feel for.

Another problem is amaranth and kochia, which whip my ass and are huge pollen producers vary the pollen so much across plants and genotypes that it's hard to get a bead on them to immunize yourself. Basically pollen varies significantly from plant to plant.

Poor choice of words on my end. I'm certain he's not dumb. But I bet he is off base.

Mine have been brutal this week, especially later Sunday and all day Monday. A bit better yesterday and today but still a bit bothersome.

Can the mods, Da Face, anyone, explain how this thread has so many views yet so few posts? I'm perplexed by this phenomenon.
