Good luck trying to get the lane when the other team knows you aren't much of a threat to cross over or really even drive right. Obviously these guys can drive right with their left hand, but it's gonna be out in front of them to get swiped away so it's a pretty bad idea.
He's going to have to spend more time off-ball and if he's also not shooting - what impact can he really have?

That's true but as an organization I don't think Warriors are disgraceful. Warriors are mostly a bunch of soft pretty boys they need someone like Dray on the team to protect them. He serves a role and plenty of teams have guys like Dray.
