The more I look at the remaining schedule after Sunday, the more I realize that tomorrow's game vs. CIN is for the Chiefs, their last chance to prove themselves to themselves (as much as to anyone else), against a true competitive opponent.
Veach drafted Karlaftis, McDuffie, Skyy, etc. and made the trades that he did, for this game.
This is the game all of those bonus installments every week were about.
It has to be this game because after this one, Andy will barely have to get the offense out of 1st gear to ensure a string of Ws down the stretch. It's going to be the most vanilla stretch of games both offensively and defensively until the playoffs.
So, you gotta test fire the weapon. Under live conditions. See how the machine works under fire, so they can tweak issues that will inevitably arise.
