Is SVP the only really good thing left at ESPN?

Them being out will definitely give other guys a chance to take their minutes.

Iowa State is actually full strength for the first time this year. King didn’t play the first semester as he was ineligible after transferring. Kunc just returned for the Kansas game, he was a little rusty but that was his first conference game this season. Then Grill was playing hurt in the Tech and OSU losses and they sat him for the Mizzou game. I think part of that is Mizzou was Saturday on the road, and Tech was a quick turnaround Monday on the road.. but he seems to be playing well again now. If we win tomorrow we are tied for first again.

That stat is incredible. How are we so lucky? Bill Self coaches our Jayhawks and Andy Reid coaches the Patrick Mahomes led Chiefs. We should all feel blessed.

Now I'm curious. Does anyone know what team was the one loss?

Baylor 1/11/20

Oh wow, #4 vs #3. I think I remember that game. It was then that I knew Baylor had a couple of great guards in Butler and Teague. And Daveon Mitchell was no slouch, though probably much better the next season.

And KU lost Devon Dotson in that game. That really hurt.

Just settling in to watch it, but saw the score this morning... never would have expected 88 points on just 2/10 from 3.

Texas had an odd defensive strategy of completely taking away Wilson (they were faceguarding him and not helping off him) and letting everyone else go off. Didn't work out for them.

He asked Stacy if he could run the numbers on KU’s efficiency when the Jayhawks got a paint touch off the bounce and their efficiency based on how many ball reversals they had.

Stacy ran the numbers that night, hours after KU’s worst offensive output in conference play against Iowa State:

• Paint touch off the bounce: 55.4 scoring rate and 1.173 points per possession
• Zero ball reversals: 0.722 PPP
• One ball reversal: 0.951 PPP
• Two-plus ball reversals: 0.977

On Sunday night, Kansas coach Bill Self presented the data and gave his team a math lesson. It was really quite simple. The Jayhawks needed to get into the paint.

Bill Self gave a math and a history lesson before the Texas game, and it worked just as he’d hoped. My column from Big Monday: https://t.co/3oPwQWUMzz
