I wouldn't hate this at all, but you all know I like Hyatt.

Pick 22
Kansas City Chiefs: Jalin Hyatt
Tennessee · WR · Junior
PROJECTED TRADE WITH BALTIMORE RAVENS

Opinions are mixed about Hyatt's ability to become a true No. 1 receiver in the NFL, but the Chiefs' offense will play to his strengths: gliding past defenders in the open field and weaving through traffic to make short passes into long gains. The Ravens dealt second- and fifth-round picks to the Bears for linebacker Roquan Smith last fall, so adding a third- and fourth-rounder from the Chiefs in this trade will help build depth.

Now I'm going to be disappointed if we don't max out the draft with top end weapons.

Hyatt and Gibbs, all day!

Big pharma wont let it happen. Viagra sales would plummet in the kc area.

Yeah, I've been all "OT and DE" for the better part of a couple weeks now and when I'm sitting here like "WR and RB? Shit...SEND IT!" then I think you'd be hard pressed to find many people who wouldn't be standing at full attention at the end of round 2 at that point...

It would be pretty Veach like. Wins a SB last year after trading away his best WR. Does nothing at the WR position leading up to the draft and then goes full on weapons in the first two rounds.

I watched a guy do a Gibbs scouting report and basically say he's basically somewhere between Aaron Jones and Jamaal Charles..that's somewhat enticing.

Getting behind Gibbs in the 2nd, for me, would depend on Crow's confidence that he could make a WR conversion.

That's not to say he'd ONLY play WR, but I'd probably have him running routes, and not from the backfield, on the majority of his snaps if we drafted him.

Maybe he'd start in the backfield just to create matchup headaches, but then he'd motion out. I'd be treating him as a de-facto Y receiver that you could also give 5-8 carries/gm.

Pacheco's energy and physicality brings so much to this offense that strictly as a RB, I'm not interested in a 1a/1b scenario. Nor am I interested in drafting a backup RB in the 2nd round.

So Gibbs would have to be far more than that. He'd have to be a guy who plays 80% of the snaps and probably ends up running WR routes on 60-70% of those. The remainder can be times he stays in to block, takes a carry or runs a traditional RB route.

So if he's Reggie Bush.

oohhhhhhh - I like that.

Yes, if he's the NOLA version of Reggie Bush. But because of his coach and ideally better health, a far more efficient version of him.

There were times that Reggie was just out there sucking up touches and not getting anything accomplished.

Man, we're completely ignoring the defense with the above mock but I don't hate it.

Not matter what Hyatt and Gibbs would be phenomenal.
This mock where we get Hyatt & Gibbs is still my favorite! What would you do with the rest of the draft?

1st WR J Hyatt ...Most Chiefs pick in the draft [Traded 3rd to move up]
2nd RB J Gibbs ...2nd most Chiefs pick in the draft [Traded 2024 3rd to move up]
3rd [Traded]
4th NT G Dexter* ...2-down anchor next to C Jones, didn't develop much in college apparently but he's long and athletic for a NT
4th OT W Morris* ...OL Depth to push Niang or eventually replace Thuney
+
5th DE Y Diaby ...Fastest pass rusher in the draft, let Omenihu start and swing Diaby in like Ingram
6th WR B Ford-Wheaton ...One of the Fastest WRs in the draft, great size too
6th DT K Brooks ...Small division stand out that can play inside or out like Omenihu
7th FB H Luepke ..."My Guy" in this year's draft, love his ability to catch on the wheel route from the FB position and I think Andy would too
7th S D Scott ...RAS score of 9.96, Veach always hits on his late round DBs

Lots of speed!

I would gush frothing streams of ejaculate from my plums that glisten with a beautiful blue hue if we ended up with that draft.

Thanks! She's a beauty! Use some cash to sign Y. Ngokoue to give Diaby some time to develop and let's go!

FB: H. Luepke
TE: T. Kelce, N. Gray, J. Fortson
WR: K. Toney, MVS, J. Hyatt, S. Moore, Watson, J. Ross, Ford-Wheaton
OT: J Taylor, L. Nang, W. Morris
IL: J. Thuney, C. Humphrey, T. Smith, N. Allegretti, D. Kinnard

ED: G. Karlaftis, C. Omenihu, Y. Ngokou, M. Danna, Y. Diaby, J. Kaindoh
DT: C. Jones, G. Dexter, Nandi, Wharton, K. Brooks

We have Omenihu for that. I'd rather we spend any extra cash finding a RT to back up Niang for when he invariably gets injured again until Morris gets up to speed.
