Why would the Saints have an issue trading Payton within the division? The cap/roster hell they are currently in is entirely his fault. They know Drew Brees isn't going with him. If I'm NO, I welcome him to Carolina if that gets me the best compensation package.

The cap hell the Saints find themselves in now is due to mortgaging the future to try to make another run with Brees. Had it not been for the Minneapolis Miracle and the Robey-Coleman non-call in the NFCCG, Payton might have three Super Bowl trophies right now.
Lolololol

Not even close.

Even in 2014, 26% of the teams cap space was dead money from 4 bad deals.

Last year, NO had 43m in dead money and this year had almost 30.

That would be exacerbated with an owner that “demands results” and a HC/GM that loves piling up dead money bad decisions. Especially with a lame duck trash QB soaking up tons of resources.

Fucking hilarious that Quinn is interviewing for another job a day or 2 before a potential playoff game.

Like, that’s a mark against him in my book.

If you were going to just hire a DC, why not just have kept Fangio and hire a premium OC?

They will end up hiring Eric Bienemy and it will be a good hire for them. I can see him bringing Brenden Daly along as his DC.

When is he supposed to interview? These HC'ing hires get wrapped up quickly. Nobody wants to wait until after the Super Bowl if they don't have to because all of the best assistant coaches will be poached already.

Denver media is expecting to know who the next head coach is by next Monday or Tuesday.

I just got off the phone with Coach Harbaugh and Jim shared with me the great news that he is going to remain as the Head Coach of the Michigan Wolverines. That is fantastic news that I have communicated to our Athletic Director Warde Manuel. #GoBlue! pic.twitter.com/3LJzsv4zN9

So as Chiefs fans we have them with 2 options:

1. Sean Payton, which will cost their first rd pick
2. A retread loser like Dan Quinn

Man this is great :-)

We tried to tell you, Knowmo.

Go ahead and give up another 1st rounder plus more to get Sean Payton. If you don't do that, you get Bieniemy.

If Dallas loses tonight, then McCarthy gets fired. Payton goes to Dallas….

McCarthy goes to Dungver!

Strong feeling of deja vu right now.

Rodgers “bowed out” after Denver informed him they were going with Russell Wilson. 40 minutes later, the Russ deal was announced.
