2023 – A new beginning for the Royals. Matt Quatraro era begins. A year to see which of our young players will make up the core going forward. Can Bobby Witt Jr become a superstar SS or will go to the hot corner? Will Brady Singer take the next step forward? Will Salvy be Salvy? Will Big Vin or Pratto take first base? Will they find a position for MJ? Who else emerges from the youth movement? Not to mention the development of the new downtown stadium.

So are we to assume that since they're dominating the spring league that this will be a 100+ loss team when it counts, kind of like the old days of Royals baseball?? [Reply]

You named two stadiums. A skyline view would be nice, but it's pretty low on the list of priorities. What skyline view would they get in JoCo or Clay County? It's about getting the ballpark close to downtown because that's what Sherman and the city planners, investors, and politicians want. [Reply]

That's there record in spring training. They seem to always play well in ST. [Reply]
The Royals always seem to score a lot of runs during ST.My question is,do pitchers really throw their best stuff though during ST,or just kinda go through the motions ? Its gonna be an interesting season if nothing else, seeing Garrett and Chapman both in the bullpen,i never imagined seeing Chapman in a Royals uniform. [Reply]

I don't think pitchers are going out and giving it there all. Im pretty sure they are working on certain or new pitches. Maybe different scenarios. [Reply]
Nicky Lopez, who made a sparkling double play, comes up here in the bottom of the 5th and smacks a long double to right-center field. The Royals infielder is hitting a cool .600 this week

Speaking of embarrassing…thankfully we have our less athletic neighbors from the north in our group! :-)! Should definitely get that mercy rule invoked tonight hopefully! [Reply]

Oddly, I think that was Canada's plan as well actually. They threw a 19 year old kid in A ball out to get destroyed tonight (knowing they'd likely lose no matter who they pitched) instead of their more experienced pitchers because their games the next two days against Colombia/Mexico will decide whether they advance or not. If they get mercy'd, they get to pitch less innings and therefore save more guys for the next two days. Weird format. [Reply]
