2023 – A new beginning for the Royals. Matt Quatraro era begins. A year to see which of our young players will make up the core going forward. Can Bobby Witt Jr become a superstar SS or will go to the hot corner? Will Brady Singer take the next step forward? Will Salvy be Salvy? Will Big Vin or Pratto take first base? Will they find a position for MJ? Who else emerges from the youth movement? Not to mention the development of the new downtown stadium.

This is so fucked up for the Royals to do. Motherfuckers are going to fight the kid, who is our best pitcher and could be the best pitcher since Greinke, over $300k? Jesus, what douches. [Reply]

Pretty ridiculous.I'm pretty sure the better coaches will help the Royals players a lot,but it seems like they have that broad from Major League as an owner. [Reply]

Well they won the case so they were right. [Reply]

I don't believe there are any winners in this case. Brady Singer's agent has to say these are the reasons my client deserves $3.325MM. The Royals have to point out Singer's faults to show his true worth at $2.95MM.
The Royals for $375K create several million dollars' worth of "F" you for later.
Former Royals manager Ned Yost, who guided the team to two World Series appearances, will be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame in a September ceremony https://t.co/2QrT7JFJfH

But hey, they won for now.
He and his agent will remember this and will leave the Royals for even 300 K less per year. [Reply]

This doesn’t mean Dozier won’t pull an occasional shift at another position. Even in the year he played the majority of games at third base, Dozer also played 20 games in right field and 15 as a designated hitter.
New Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Dozier won’t be “entrenched” at third and wants to mix and match lineups to maximize matchups. But...
“Hunter is going to predominantly play third,” Quatraro said. “Like most guys, when they know what’s expected of them, it takes a little of the mental burden off.”
Sounds like Quatraro is going the Ned route and let the guys play regularly and in the same spot. Fresh air over Mathney. [Reply]
