Nzoner's Game Room>***Official 2023 Royals Season Repository Thread***
ChiefsCountry 12:02 AM 01-01-2023

2023 – A new beginning for the Royals. Matt Quatraro era begins. A year to see which of our young players will make up the core going forward. Can Bobby Witt Jr become a superstar SS or will go to the hot corner? Will Brady Singer take the next step forward? Will Salvy be Salvy? Will Big Vin or Pratto take first base? Will they find a position for MJ? Who else emerges from the youth movement? Not to mention the development of the new downtown stadium.

Feel like there’s got to be a decent shot of a Mahomes first pitch opening day.

Heh! Couldn't quite pull the trigger on a 100 loss season.

Pretty ridiculous.I'm pretty sure the better coaches will help the Royals players a lot,but it seems like they have that broad from Major League as an owner.

Well they won the case so they were right.

I don't believe there are any winners in this case. Brady Singer's agent has to say these are the reasons my client deserves $3.325MM. The Royals have to point out Singer's faults to show his true worth at $2.95MM.

The Royals for $375K create several million dollars' worth of "F" you for later.

But hey, they won for now.

Some interesting video here. Salvy with Paul Hoover, who is now our bench coach but spent a bunch of years in the Rays system working with catchers.

95 seconds of seven-time All-Star Salvador Perez listening to new bench coach Paul Hoover.

“I’m still learning,” he said. “I know I have some Gold Gloves, but I’m still learning.” #Royals pic.twitter.com/ggF8h0jRPU

Former Royals manager Ned Yost, who guided the team to two World Series appearances, will be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame in a September ceremony https://t.co/2QrT7JFJfH

He and his agent will remember this and will leave the Royals for even 300 K less per year.

New Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Dozier won’t be “entrenched” at third and wants to mix and match lineups to maximize matchups. But...

“Hunter is going to predominantly play third,” Quatraro said. “Like most guys, when they know what’s expected of them, it takes a little of the mental burden off.”
Sounds like Quatraro is going the Ned route and let the guys play regularly and in the same spot. Fresh air over Mathney.

In other words, we're paying this POS so he's going to play. If he doesn't perform, he's gone.

Nah. We're transactional now. He'll be traded for prospects and get paid by someone else.
