I think it’s a brilliant idea. It’s now like it’s back to the future and you’re casting chalomet to play Marty Mcfly. This is a franchise with a simple premise.
I wish the OG creators were around. I’m a little nervous at first glance. But I remember that Leslie Nielsen was a long time serious actor before he became a comedy legend. And I remind myself that by the time the last naked gun movie came out the rapid fire slapstick comedy was getting replaced by teen comedies and parody movies. I think we’re all ready for this type of movie to make a comeback. [Reply]

I expect this to be more raunchy and less rapid fire than the originals. With the ‘Lonely Island’ guys in charge now. Not saying either is better or worse, just different styles of comedy. [Reply]
