For all things Royals in 2022. #3 minor league system according to Baseball America. The Bobby Witt era should begin this year. Will Salvy still be the homerun king? How does the glut of infield players work out? Will the young pitchers take the next step?

Wild story in Pittsburgh tonight. Pirates completely hung one of their relievers out to dry, guy pitched 1 inning and was lit up for 8 runs and the manager just left him in there. He ended up throwing 56(!) pitches in one inning of work. He threw 48 pitches before recording an out. It was so bad the other team's writers were calling them out.

Pirates reliever Cam Vieaux just threw 56 pitches in the eighth inning and no one ever got up in the Pirates bullpen. What in the world.

Tyler Gentry went 3-4 with a walk and a homer.

What an animal. Anyone know anything about his fielding?

Yeah, it depends if the bullpen was already overspent from recent games, but save arms for other games.
