The one area that was completely a bad deal are SPACs. How they got these allowed for any retail investor is outright theft.
99% of SPACs have been losers. Worst odds than Vegas. The structure is also legal theft.
They are as bad as the tax shelters that Lehman pushed in the 80's : Silver Screen Partners investing in movies and NO ONE made money. Just a scam.
Yes, it's bad. I don't remember the exact date, I could look it up but AMC started to squeeze several months back. I think it was around 18 , then 20,24,shot to 32 and they halted the MFer. Then they ran buy orders through the dark pool and only processed sell orders on the Lit exchange. Drove the price down and kept it there ever since. AMC won't ever be allowed to squeeze.
The big stocks, like AAPL, mSFT, Googl etc.... they don't seem to fuck with but anything like a MEME stock or something someone is pushing they have their moles out so they know to counter anything retail tries to do. [Reply]

I mean halts are automatically triggered, if you think "they halted it" illegally, then you can go back and check when it was halted and see if it meets the criteria for an automatic halt. If it doesn't, then sue. [Reply]

LOL, a lawyer fighting them would cost thousands and you'd never win. I believe a halt can only be triggered if a stock moves 10% within a certain time frame. I'm just sayin. It's a fun game but they sure have the advantage.
Code: H10 – SEC has suspended trading in this stock (common among penny stocks and companies suspected of stock promotion or fraud)
This is a 5min halt to pause trading for stocks priced above $3 and that move more than 10% in a 5min period.
Stocks under $3.00 have different circuit breaker rules, and S&P 500 stocks and Indices also have different rules.
When a stock is halted, you cannot trade it, you have to wait. [Reply]
Traded PETZ this morning 3.25 to 3.52 Used a 2% Trailing SL on this one.
Also APRN 5.23 to 5.75 This one I just set a 10% sell point. Was pretty sure it would hit
Could have done better on both but no losses .
Bought another 100 shares of GBTC. Trying to stock pile so when the time comes that Bitcoin hits 60K again I'll be ready. [Reply]
Got 6 shares of HPCO on pre-order. I had a trailing stop order set up before it opened and then added it on as soon as it opened. It ended up selling at $35 so I ended up making $174. [Reply]
Strategy didn't work . .It opened at 38 and went straight down. Halted after 20 seconds of trading at 34.20 for an hour Then reopened at $13, bastards. They're always one step ahead. Made money on my 3 webulls. [Reply]

What do you do with cash?
I see a couple of CDs paying 2.35% for 3 months. Might.start laddering a few bucks.
2.35% for 3 months , why would anybody do that?? If you really focus you can make 2.35% every single day of the week. Follow about 5-10 tickers and learn their patterns and you can continually grab money.
Just like I did with BBBY this morning sometimes you can put in an opening bid 3% below the open and that wick will drop down and gobble up your bid. I'm not sure why that happens but it does. Maybe it's grabbing a stop loss some fool had set too close. But anyway that's instant cash. [Reply]
