In a departure from expectations this afternoon, Chiefs CB L’Jarius Sneed was on the field for some stretching and conditioning that would put him in the next stage of the concussion protocol, a very good sign for him.
Andy Reid is optimistic JuJu Smith-Schuster, who sustained a left knee injury Sunday, will be able to participate in the team's practices next week in Arizona.
"He's in the good place," Reid said. "The main thing is letting that thing calm down. We'll just see where it goes."
Reid was particularly optimistic that among the injured players Toney and JuJu would be able to play in the Super Bowl. On JuJu, Reid said, "He's in a good place."
Andy Reid said L’Jarius Snead, who spends most of his time covering teams #1 QB is in the concussion protocol. His status for the Super Bowl will be one to watch vs the #eagles
Chiefs LB Willie Gay is optimistic about playing in the Super Bowl despite hurting his shoulder Sunday vs. Cincinnati, per source. Early tests were encouraging.
.@adamteicher to @J810Anderson on how the #Chiefs feel about the chances of their injured players returning for the Super Bowl: "The Chiefs feel like everybody's got a chance, all those guys." Adds that it's doubtful that all of them would make it, but all should have a shot.

Against the Eagles and their solid CBs? No he won’t. Watson, Kemp, and Moore will not get separation and we’ll be ****ed. We need Hardman and Toney imo. JJSS would be a luxury. [Reply]

Agreed. Eagles will blanket Kelce and no way Marcus fucking Kemp is getting open consistently against the Eagles D. Neither would Moore or Watson. We need speed and better pray at least Hardman can go. I’m guessing papirer-mache Toney will be out given his history. [Reply]

Plus, having healthy receivers makes the running game more dangerous. Otherwise, Philly is crowding the box and daring the Chiefs to throw to Kemp, Moore, or Watson. [Reply]

Everybody tries to blanket Kelce. It very rarely works, though. The Bengals were keying on him every single down with disguised coverage, double teams, bracketing, they tried everything and they actually limited Kelce in the past. They couldn't do it on Sunday.
This is playoff football. Kelce gonna get his no mater what they do on defense. [Reply]

There's more than a little bit of hyperbole here. Watson has shown that he can be serviceable in a pinch but I don't think anyone can realistically say he has "great hands". We need Toney and/or Juju to play. [Reply]

One of the benefits of having everyone on the injury list is that it really makes the Eagles have to prepare for multiple weird, different scenarios beyond what we've put on tape this year. [Reply]
