I agree that Joe Cool was the greatest at 19, but he's not one of only 2 Chiefs to wear 19. Kemp currently wears 19. Maclin was 19, and Devon Wylie also wore 19. That's 4 off the top of my head. [Reply]

Yep, I worded wrong. Mean't to say 1 of 2 QBs. Cotton Davidson played from 1960-62 [Reply]

Rain, you know during the offseason we just have to make sacrifices and find other forms of beauty. So in honor of the number 19 I present this video with nearly 19 million views. Actual view count is 18,725,053 but with the power of CP we can get to 19.
Number 18 was worn by Samie Parker and Elvis Grbac. But the best to ever wear it was hall of famer Emmitt Thomas. Thomas is the Chiefs all-time leader in interceptions with 58. Fifty eight. That’s an incredible number of turnovers which showcases a rare ability to make plays on the ball over a prolonged period of time. In Thomas’s case, he played 13 seasons in the NFL, all with the Chiefs, and he remained a starter until he was 35-years-old. Thomas twice led the entire NFL in interceptions and is ranked No. 12 on the NFL’s career interceptions list. [Reply]
17 days to go. Currently, 17 is being worn by rookie Mecole Hardman. The number was vacated when Chris Conley left in free agency. Hopefully, he will do better for the number than Conley did.
But the greatest player ever to wear 17 was quarterbacking the Chiefs when I first became a Chiefs fan. That was Steve Deberg. Deberg was one tough cookie. I have no idea how he finished that game with a broken finger on his throwing hand. And, have you ever seen anyone so good at the play action pass? It was so good that the cameras would follow the ball carrier. Next thing you know, Deberg was throwing a pass and the cameras were left catching up. [Reply]

Love DeBerg and completely agree with you on his play action. But it was the defense that made me fall in love with this team in 1991 and made me a fan for life. [Reply]

Oh, absolutely. The Chiefs defense was great back then. Derrick Thomas and Neil Smith rushing the passer, Carter and Hasty shutting down the backfield. That was a thing of beauty. [Reply]
