Now, I read that Mozeliak told @JohnDenton555 that Edman had arthroscopic wrist surgery in October and they’re hopeful he’ll be full go when spring opens.

Truth will out, as the kids say!

The #STLCards are acquiring pitcher Andrew Kittredge from the Rays in exchange for Richie Palacios, per @katiejwoo. pic.twitter.com/34QJOLACgD

I mean he's ALWAYS hurt, but he's a worthwhile flyer and we didn't give up anything of note to obtain him.

Though Palacios is definitely going to hit some post-season tanks now.

Well, that's where he was for over a decade prior to Boston.

Yeah, Bloom really got hung out to dry by Boston ownership. All he did was EXACTLY what they hired him to do and then they didn't have the patience to see it through, blamed him for their organizational edict to trade Betts and then ultimately fired him.

If we broomed the entire organization and told Bloom - "This is yours now, do with it what you will" I'd be elated.

My problem isn't that we hired Bloom at all. It's that these stupid, arrogant, complacent motherfuckers won't listen to anything he says anyway.

That's the problem. They'll totally half measure everything he tells them to do.

Nah - they won't even do that.

"What, we got you a former Ray? What more do you need?"

I mean if he can help them win 85 games more cost effectively, they'll listen to that. If he can routinely have them 'playing relevant baseball in September' on a bottom 1/3 payroll, they'll build a fucking statute of him and put it right next to Musial. My god, the operating profits will be enormous.

But he ain't here to help them win a title. He's here to help them not suck on a lower pricetag.
