Slapshot was the first show I saw at The Outhouse, Dec. 1987. It was a terrifying, exhilarating, life-changing experience that cemented my ascent from thrash into hardcore. Back then I thought Slayer (who I still love btw) was the most badass, intense band ever (even though I owned a Bad Brains cassette at the time). This show opened my eyes. 30+ years later I am still digging the old school hardcore. It is pure aggression. Cathartic. [Reply]
